Peace Corps in Ukraine.
Peace Corps in Ukraine was founded in 1992 when Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk and U.S. President George W. Bush signed a bilateral agreement to establish the Peace Corps in Ukraine.
Since then Peace Corps has collaborated with many progressive organizations. American volunteers live and work side by side with Ukrainians for two years, sharing experiences and developing relationships that often last a lifetime.
AIMS:
• help the citizens of Ukraine by providing competent professionals in meeting their needs for trained
• contribute to a better understanding of Americans by Ukrainians
• promote a better understanding of Ukrainians by Americans
PROJECTS:
Teaching English as a foreign language:
Volunteers teach English in secondary schools, universities and teacher training colleges and train in institutes of postgraduate education for teachers. Volunteers help teachers expand the range of teaching methods in the classroom and help students acquire language skills that will help them succeed both in further education and future careers.

Youth Development:
Volunteers work in schools and colleges and cooperate with local departments of Family, Youth and Sports to provide young Ukrainians assistance needed for success in career and in life. They conduct lessons in schools, extracurricular activities, and conduct community projects aimed at preventing abuse of alcohol, smoking, drug use and the spread of HIV. Promote healthy lifestyles, promote the development of skills in information technology, business, leadership, civics, environment and career development.
Community Development:
Volunteers usually work with NGOs, local organizations, governments, local authorities and businesses. They promote social and economic development at the local level. The aim of the volunteers is to increase the capacity of community members and service providers, to promote sustainable development of local organizations and cross-sector cooperation between the public, government and private sector.
Summer English school 2012.  In the children camp “Severyanyn" the first shift was really unusual. A summer English school «The Azov Camp» was started on the basis of CHC “Severyanyn".
It has given us many possibilities to learn English, to make new friends and discoveries. Fun, interesting and bright life in the camp was provided not only by leaders and heads of the creative workshops but 8 more Peace Corps volunteers in Ukraine from the United States of America: Kerry Marino (New York), Logan Brennan (New York), Sinden Enrouz (Colorado), Chris McDonough (Michigan), Laura Chat (Pennsylvania), Belli Woolf (Washington), Linda Lee (State Minnesota), Rachel Geer (Missouri) made the time in the camp unforgattable.
Peace Corps volunteers taught children a lot. Children tried to understand foreign friends, to answer their questions, to play. Volunteers always treated us with understanding, tried to find the approach to each child. Being always cheerful and friendly, they shared their positive emotions and  attitude to children. Lessons were of differenf topics and subjects, which made kids impossible to get bored. Volunteers always responded to requests of children, communicated with us after lessons, played outdoor games and taught the traditions of their country- the USA.
Thanks to volunteers, each of us has received oceans of positive emotions, good humor, and most importantly - improved English language skills that will be useful not only in school, but just in communication with many people of the world.
