Summer English school 2012. In the children camp “Severyanyn" the first shift was really unusual. A summer English school «The Azov Camp» was started on the basis of CHC “Severyanyn".
It has given us many possibilities to learn English, to make new friends and discoveries. Fun, interesting and bright life in the camp was provided not only by leaders and heads of the creative workshops but 8 more Peace Corps volunteers in Ukraine from the United States of America: Kerry Marino (New York), Logan Brennan (New York), Sinden Enrouz (Colorado), Chris McDonough (Michigan), Laura Chat (Pennsylvania), Belli Woolf (Washington), Linda Lee (State Minnesota), Rachel Geer (Missouri) made the time in the camp unforgattable.
Peace Corps volunteers taught children a lot. Children tried to understand foreign friends, to answer their questions, to play. Volunteers always treated us with understanding, tried to find the approach to each child. Being always cheerful and friendly, they shared their positive emotions and attitude to children. Lessons were of differenf topics and subjects, which made kids impossible to get bored. Volunteers always responded to requests of children, communicated with us after lessons, played outdoor games and taught the traditions of their country- the USA.
Thanks to volunteers, each of us has received oceans of positive emotions, good humor, and most importantly - improved English language skills that will be useful not only in school, but just in communication with many people of the world.
